  • Both left and right mirrors are required
  • Turn signals are required on all 2005 motorcycle models and later
  • Modifying the exhaust to increase sound is illegal
  • Handlebar height cannot be higher than the eye level of the operator of the motorcycle

Insurance Requirements

In Oklahoma, all riders are required to carry minimum compulsory liability insurance (10/20/10).  The state has an insurance discount available for three years following the completion of a motorcycle accident prevention course.

Riding Off-Road

In Oklahoma, there aren't too many off-road motorcycle laws.  Riders under the age of 18 are required to wear a safety helmet, and registration of an off-road vehicle is voluntary, although a title is mandatory.  There are no regulations about eyewear, headlights, taillights, mufflers, or sound limits.
